Behind every successful man stands an inspiring woman. Behind every successful woman stands a supportive man. Behind every successful business stands an ambitious and united team — and behind that team stands “accounting”. It is the solid foundation that sustains the company.
I have asked myself thousands of times: “Why accounting?” It is the only thing I have done throughout my entire life. Over the years, and through the lens of experience, I have come to understand personally that the deeper you immerse yourself in a subject, the more you perceive its vastness. And that is when the magic happens. It draws you in like a magnet — you cannot live without it. That is what accounting is to me — a profession, a hobby, a way of life. My life.
In the very beginning, I was captivated by the tasks. They seemed easy and pleasant to someone who was not particularly gifted at mathematics, yet had graduated from a mathematics high school. Then I encountered the legislation. That was undoubtedly the more challenging part — and I still feel that way today. But I have since learned that wherever things become most difficult, it is worth pressing on — because the solution always follows. And with it comes great satisfaction.
For over twelve years now, I have shared my working life with my colleagues in the office. Together, we have managed to build a space in which we feel comfortable, work diligently, achieve results, and learn from one another. That gives our days meaning.
Thomas Edison failed more than 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb. Winston Churchill once said that success is the ability to move from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. I believe this applies to us as well. We have yet to make an invention, but we never stop looking for ways to improve how we operate. We are growing — in an era of technology and artificial intelligence, we strive to work intelligently and to use these tools wisely.
I am also grateful to the clients with whom we have worked for many years. I respect them, because they choose the difficult conversations — they choose to hear the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. They do not want us to make promises we cannot keep; we talk about their business before we present the numbers. And I am grateful that they chose us — a small practice. But being “small” is a choice, not a circumstance. For us, the quality of the partnership matters more than the number of clients.
We do not work with every client. We work only with the right people. If you are looking for an accounting firm, you have many options. If you are looking for a partner, come and talk to us. The conversation will reveal whether we are the right fit for you. Set aside 30 minutes — you will learn more about your business finances than you have in your last three meetings with an accountant.
This is who we are. And you — who are you?
